  18. I have recently purchased Lightwave ver. 3.5 (Standalone).  I have
  19. been trying to work through the modeling tutorials in the manual.  I seem 
  20. to be having a problem performing dragging functions.  When ever I hold 
  21. down the left or right mouse button and "drag" it accross the screen, it
  22. doesn't seem to work.  If it works at all, it moves in such small
  23. increments that it is practically useless for me.  I have to move it a
  24. infinitestimal distance, let go of the cursor, move it again, let go,
  25. etc.  Even moving the view cross hairs accross the screen to enlarge a
  26. particular view is time consuming and frustrating.  I am working with
  27. a 2500/30, 1 Meg chip, 4 Meg Fast.  I called NewTek.  the customer
  28. Tech told me that hadn't heard of that problem before, and by the way,
  29. it worked fine on his 4000 (of course).  the Lasso function does not
  30. work at all.  It seems as though the processor isn't fast enough to
  31. follow the cursor movement.  I checked the chip ram, I had almost
  32. 500K available.  I had approx. 2 Meg of Fast available.  So it
  33. shouldn't be a memory thing.

  35. Has anyone had this problem?  I have been working with Imagine for a
  36. few years now.  the drag features in Imagine work fine on my machine;
  37. so I am baffled as to why I'm having problems with Lightwave.
